Some more Noah funnies

Pictures will come soon, I promise, but I want to get these on here so I don't forget them!
  • So Noah has learned about some words that he is not allowed to say(ie. stupid, hate, etc) and now he feels it necessary to correct others when they use these words. I got in trouble for saying stupid the other day(in my defense it was aimed at the dog!) and just today he corrected someone for saying "gosh", but fortunately they did not hear him!
  • This morning Noah was reading some letters off to me to ask what they spell and I was tickling him with my toes and he said, "Stop interrupting!"
  • "Where will we put the "Chrimus" tree in the car?"
  • At the Christmas tree farm, "These aren't Christmas trees, they don't have any lights and stuff on them!"
So much fun!

I have been wanting to get these down for a while so that I don't forget them because there are a few things he said just after Benjamin was born and in my sleep deprived state I forgot them super quick! Anyway, here goes:
  • He makes this statement in response to many things I say to Benjamin, but this one in particular makes me laugh. I told Benjamin that he needed to be patient when he was fussing and I was getting ready to feed him and Noah with all seriousness turns my face to him and says, "Mommy, Benjamin can't be patient, he is JUST a BABY! He can't be patient!"
  • This one takes the cake! The other day while Noah was supposed to be napping and didn't sleep at all, he asked several times if he could wake up yet(he is not supposed to do this, it is fine if he doesn't sleep, but he cannot talk and ask if he can get up). So when I told him that he could get up, I said he needed to come see me in the kitchen. So he walks in and crosses his arms and says with a little shrug, "Mommy, I just want to say I am sorry for saying "Can I get up now?"" So since he had stolen my thunder, I just said, "Well, I forgive you." To which he replied, "Do you want to say you're sorry for saying "No"?" Where does he come up with this stuff!!!
  • My little evangelist: The other night in the car Noah asked about someone that we know whose loved one passed away and I took it as an opportunity to talk about going to Heaven with Jesus when we die. Well, when I asked him if he believed that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again the third day, he said yes and then proceeded to ask me the same thing. Then he was all excited that one day we will all go live with Jesus in Heaven. He wanted to ask everybody his "question" for days! It really melts my heart how sensitive and excited he gets about Jesus! What about you? Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose again the third day and lives in Heaven with the Father?

Baby Dedication

I took these pictures Sunday after Benjamin's Dedication at church. Both of our boys have had the priviledge of being "dedicated" or as we call it at our church "recognized" by their grandfather. This is very special to us as he is our pastor. Our Baby Dedication is really more of a parent dedication as we are agreeing to raise our babies to love the Lord as they are our gift from the Lord!

Little Fatty!

We are so amazed at how fat Benjamin is at such an early age because Noah was so scrawny for a while! I love these pics that show his chubby self! What can I say...the boy likes to eat!

Busting out of the jammies!

What Joel lovingly calls "Toad Belly!"

Had to post a naked one...look at that belly and you can't even see his thigh rolls in this one!

Just a fave...almost cross eyed! I think he is trying to look at his binky!

My friend Rachel from work was due with Baby Boy #2 just 6 days before me and her precious little(well, sort of little--he was 9 1/2 lbs at birth!) Samuel was born just 6 days before Benjamin! It was always fun to have someone to go through it all with, so we of course had to get the little guys together. The first time we forgot to take pictures, but the first week in November was so beautiful we decided to go walk at a local bike trail and have a picnic lunch. It was a beautiful day!

We didn't plan the coordinating outfits, but thought it was cute!

Caleb and Sam & Noah and Benjamin

I believe this was the point of Noah saying "Done!"...the point at which he is ready to dump his brother from his lap and go back to playing!

What is it with boys? I think all boys this age LOVE to throw rocks in water!

Where did the boys go?

Noah and Daddy have enjoyed this game for a while and recently Noah wanted Benjamin to join in too!

One last HOORAH!

We made one last trip to the zoo the first week of November. The weather was beautiful and the company was wonderful. We(Noah and Benjamin and I) went with 2 of my friends from work, Deanna and her two adorable kids, Landon and Olivia, and Julie and her beautiful girls, Elise and Allie. I took several pictures of Elise and Noah and none of them came out, apparently a four year old and 3 1/2 year old with their imaginary friends are extremely hard to photograph!

Noah in what he calls "Word World"

Landon loves letters so he too loved the letters and words.

Noah chasing older women at an early age! At least she is only 5 months older!!

Komodo Dragon

We have never seen the Komodo Dragon out, so this was a real treat!
I took so many pictures and he was posing for all of them!

Isn't he an amazing creature!

Deanna got a picture of him with his tongue out!
