Friends

Noah and I watched Katherine and Elizabeth this week for their mommy. Noah loves to play with Katherine(5) and has been asking if "Kaphrine" & "Livzeph" can come to his house again!

Here he is giving Elizabeth hugs, but I don't think she is impressed!

Trying to get a pic of all 3 in their jammies!

Noah and Katherine reading a book.

Elizabeth loves stuffed animals. Isn't she adorable!

Happy Thanksgiving

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Thank you God for EVERYTHING!!! We are so blessed!!!

Changes of the Season...

Every year I have taken pictures of Noah in the leaves and every year he has had on camo pants and I just realized gathering these pictures that each year has been a different camo color combo. The 1st year was blue, next was green and this year, brown. I don't know what we will do next year, but for now enjoy the pictures of how the seasons change when you have a baby!

Fun Fall Leaves

Yesterday, we had lots of fun playing in the leaves! We took some fun pictures and managed to get some pretty great shots! Check it out!!

If only the car wasn't in the background!
He was taking me down!!!

One of my faves...
I was surprised this one was so good...he was talking!
Another favorite...

Fun in the Leaves

After I finished taking pics of Noah, Rilie & Kylie came over to play with Noah in the leaves.

Noah loved copycatting the girls. Here they are making paths in the leaves.
We raked and blew all the leaves into one huge pile and they all jumped in!! Here are a few shots!!

To the ZOOO!

On Monday, we went to the zoo and met my friend from work, Julie & her girls, Elise & Allie. Noah had so much fun playing with Elise and he liked to make Allie laugh. I had such a great time talking to Julie that I didn't take very many pictures...oops!

The flamingo babies aren't babies anymore!

A BEE Movie

We took Noah to his 1st movie last week & he loved it!! We saw A Bee Movie and it was pretty cute!

He sat just like this through the movie until the last 10 minutes or so and then he just all the sudden said, " I all done", but then he sat on my lap for the rest of it.
We went with Tim & Shannon!
Looking at the BIG screen!!

Fun Fall Day

A couple of weeks ago on a Sunday we went to the Englewood park for lunch and took a nice walk on the trails.
Here he is playing in the leaves with Grandma!
Just a cute shot!

Like Mother, Like Son

When I was in college, we had light bell in the AM. The hall leaders came around to check that we were out of bed. The rule was that your feet must be touching the floor, for that reason I always took the bottom of the 3rd bunk. If I had a morning I could sleep in(which was rare as a nursing major), I wanted to be able to stay in bed!!! I would swing my legs out when the bell rang and put my feet on the floor. As soon as the hall leader checked, I would pull them back into bed and go back to sleep!! The other night I checked on Noah and he was doing the same, check it out...

Notice that his feet are firmly planted on the ground!! I'm thinking he will be on the bottom of the third bunk as well!!!

To Whom it May Interest...

So this is going to just be a conglomeration of thoughts from me, so it may bore you...well some of it may...anyway my friend, Michele, has posted songs that have meaning to her and I have always really liked it, so I am copycatting her(hope you don't mind, Michele) because this song has been in my head constantly lately...mostly because God is teaching me right now that I need to wait on Him and I am trying hard to learn it, but not doing so well...maybe that is why it won't leave my head!! This song is by Lincoln Brewster and I love that his son quotes the verse at the end. There is nothing as thrilling as hearing a small child's voice recite Scripture!!!

Everlasting God
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

The other part of this post is a warning about a movie that is soon to be released, The Golden Compass. This movie is portrayed as a family or good youth movie, however, a quote from the author of the book it is based on is as follows:"I guess technically you would have to put me down as an agnostic, but if there is a God and He is as the Christians describe Him, He deserves to be put down and rebelled against." That to me is enough to stand STRONGLY against this movie. It is unacceptable to speak against our everlasting God in that manner!!!

Trunk or Treat

Every year we have Trunk or Treat at church on our Wednesday night progam that falls closest to Halloween. This year it was actually on Halloween so we had our fun time of Trunk or Treat and food and games and fellowship. Here are some cute pictures of some of the kids from church in costume!!

Just had to include this sweet picture of 3 day old Emma. She is Claire's baby sister and is just too cute for words!
